09/05/2025ACTIVE TIME UPDATEAs we prepare for a major product update including the launch of several new features, we are making a change to how Active Time is determined for Practice and Skills sessions.&#xA0;Existing HELIOS users will see a reduction in Active Time for Practice and Skills sessions as our new Drill Run Detection feature provides a tighter way to determine when you are active versus resting. Your Active Time for Game sessions will not change.For Coaching Suite users, your Practice Intensity report, which is based on Stride Time and Session Length, will also not change.Stride Time vs Active TimeImproved Session AccuracyLooking at Stride Time versus Active Time &#x2013; we measure Stride Time as the total time spent skating (think actual striding, not gliding), whereas Active Time captures the total time in motion on the ice (e.g. not resting between shifts and drills).We find that many players, parents, and coaches are surprised to see that the actual amount of time spent skating as captured in Stride Time is quite low as a percentage of the Session Length.
