Using the Wireless Charging PadUpdated a year ago

Included in every HELIS Core box is a wireless charging pad and USB cable to power the pad as shown below:

To get started, plug the smaller micro-USB end of the USB cable into the back of the wireless charging pad. Next plug the larger USB end of the cable into a suitable power source capable of 5V, 2A output. Typically, it is best to use a newer USB wall plug with a "fast charge" indication.

The Core will only charge when placed on the wireless charging pad and the green LED of the pad goes SOLID. When charging successfully the Core will pulse its red/orange face until it gets to 100% charge when it will go solid red/orange as shown below.

If the wireless charging pad is blinking green that indicates a charging error which is typically caused by one of the following.

  1. Insufficient USB power source (most common) - we recommend using a "fast charge" style USB wall plug that will say something like 5.0V, 2.0A. The >2.0A current rating is the important part.
  2. Unexpected objects in vicinity of charger - be sure there isn't any object (e.g. metal) besides the Core also laying on top of the charger or too close because the charger detects this and won't charge.
  3. Broken wireless charging pad - if yours is broken, contact [email protected].
